Publisher Crunching Koalas and solo developer John Pywell have announced that the Soulslike action RPG Fountains is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2026. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer and confirmed that the console launch will also bring fresh content to the game.
A PC Hit Coming to Consoles
Fountains first launched for PC via Steam on December 20, 2024. Pywell originally funded the game through a Kickstarter campaign in 2022. The game currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam, with 85% positive reviews from 399 user ratings, and had surpassed 8,000 copies sold by early 2025.
Switch is not the only new platform in the pipeline. Fountains is also heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in 2026, alongside a new downloadable content expansion. That expansion is called Shattered Shape.
